Building a financially literate generation in Leeds
In 2019, a group of educators and financial professionals in Leeds noticed something concerning. Young people were entering adulthood without basic money management skills.
We saw teenagers getting their first bank accounts with no understanding of overdrafts. Students taking out loans without grasping interest rates. Young adults struggling with credit card debt before they turned 25.
So we created twilight-brim to address this gap head-on.
We don't believe in theoretical lectures. Every lesson connects to real situations children and teenagers face today.
Our goal isn't just passing a course. We want to create habits and understanding that last into adulthood.
Financial literacy shouldn't be reserved for the privileged. We make our programmes affordable and welcoming to all families.
Every instructor brings both educational expertise and real-world financial experience. We've worked in banking, financial planning, and education.
More importantly, we know how to connect with young people. Our teaching style is conversational, not condescending. We encourage questions and create safe spaces for learning.
Each team member holds relevant qualifications and undergoes regular DBS checks. Your child's safety and wellbeing is paramount.
Too many families avoid discussing finances. We create open, honest conversations about money without shame or judgement.
The earlier children understand money principles, the more naturally they'll apply them throughout life. Bad habits are harder to break later.
We give young people the tools to make their own informed decisions. Financial independence comes from understanding, not memorising rules.
When you choose twilight-brim, you're not just enrolling in a course. You're partnering with educators who genuinely care about your child's financial future.
We provide ongoing support, answer questions beyond class time, and adapt our teaching to each child's needs. This isn't a factory approach to education.
